more from the swamp...

ok it's pretty much time for bed and i do have some other interesting stories from tonight, but for the sake of continuity i will just add some more pics from the miami fishing trip from this past weekend. here are some various shots:
me at one of the entrances to the everglades...i have always wanted to visit here and since i had somewhat deviated from the rest of the group had to take the pic myself. i had all my michigan apparel on since this was gameday.


my first gar (Florida gar, Lepisosteus platyrhincus) caught on hook and line. the fish was a little over two feet and the guys insisted on quickly taking a picture 'while i still had the huge grin on my face'.

although i am not a fan of cichlids by any means, this fish was really cool. it was seriously bright red (called a midas cichlid, or red devil) and looked almost artificially colored.



and finally a shot of one of our sites. i'll post more pics as i get the time, but i am sure i will lag behind as the stories of BW3 outings and celebrity sightings will eventually prove more entertaining to some people. <:><
