the funny thing about having to break into your own house...
...well it's really late, (well, not terribly late) but it has definitely been a loooooong day and i am really looking forward to getting to bed. that being said i figured i should at least comment on a few things to keep up with this blog (and of course to waste time).
the obvious is that the michigan vs notre dame game did NOT go as i had hoped, but that is pretty much the same for any other michigan fan or anyone else who dislikes notre dame. i won't comment on it much right now, but i will say that our team played absolutely horribly (our defense did better in the second half though) and the ref's had some completely ridiculous calls. this of course all contributed to the anticlimactic throwing of various items (mainly empty water bottles) onto the field from the student section. also nice that this was all caught on film and replayed on ESPN. what can you do i suppose...and of course this was the usual curse of michigan shooting themselves in the foot early by losing an early non-conference game. ok, enough of that...i was disappointed, but also happy that iowa and OSU lost today (especially the latter).
we hosted the OSU vs Texas game at our place, and although this was supposed to be pretty much the end-event for the evening, the gathering grew into almost a mini-party and some people decided to head out to the bar/clubs afterwards. so yeah, the night went on a bit longer, but i must add that i eventually realized that i was quite exhausted from the game and everything else in the day so far...it seemed like a 48 hour day.
so as, i wrap things up, there is potential for further stories regarding a multitude of topics:
-by far the STUPIDEST server in BW3 history (of course we get stuck with her)
-why ordering Tio's in the midst of a party is a lose-lose situation (i'm STILL hungry)
-the various species of elephants that exist, and what makes them different from each other
-why we hate ohio state (could require an entirely separate blog)
-wolverines will defeat badgers. period.
-why double D wants to get into a bar fight and the list of people who we can count on
-the random dolphin-fishing-guy incident at bab's (particularly unique)
-general social ineptitude
-cougar, mountain lion, puma, PANTHER.
-the second experimental trial of Pancheros vs Big Ten Burrito (this is an easy one to predict)
well, perhaps more on any of those tomorrow. and as for the subject line of this entry? well that is another story as well... good night <:><
